“We all have power and talent; it’s our negative thinking that deludes us into believing we are not strong enough or capable of living a fulfilling life.”
Paul Seitz | MSW, LCSW, CCM founder of Center for Life Enhancement
Paul graduated from Adelphi University in 1991 and is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida, a nationally Certified Case Manager, a teacher, and a local business owner. Paul has 32 years of experience in counseling and administration, both in the for-profit and not-for-profit venues. In 2005, Paul opened the doors to his private practice, the Center for Life Enhancement. He believes anything is possible when a person embraces their strengths, and that therapy is the most powerful partner to self-determination in maintaining a rewarding life.
When he is not pouring into the lives his clients at CLE, Paul shares his skills and experience with aspiring social work students as an adjunct professor at Eastern Florida State College.
Originally from Long Island NY, Paul has called Florida home for the last 20 years. He enjoys playing the bass in a local band and in his downtime can be found in a hammock reading his favorite author, Stephen King.
Rebecka Van Heden | LCSW
Beckie earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Central Florida and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in individual and group counseling. She works with adults navigating life’s challenges, major transitions, and the emotions that accompany different phases of life.
Finding a therapist who feels like the right fit is an important part of the counseling process. Beckie utilizes a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. Her greatest passion, however, is EMDR therapy. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a highly effective, research-supported treatment that helps clients process and recover from traumatic experiences, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and other distressing life events.
Beckie offers a brief phone consultation before scheduling so you can ask questions, share what brings you to counseling, and determine whether the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit.
